Our Charity. Our Community.
In a region of the world that experiences many natural disasters, NACare was established in 2015 as the charity arm of the New Apostolic Church (Western Pacific District) to offer assistance to those communities most affected by these events. Ongoing assistance is also offered to communities through our project work, which aims to provide resources in a number of different ways to many areas of the Western Pacific region.
PROJECT WORK
In the longer term, disaster mitigation work can assist communities to rebuild after an event, and help to reduce the risk of future loss. Additionally, NACare works to improve and strengthen communities by funding local projects such as skills and education programs. This proactive approach to disaster management and community programs increases the opportunities for people in these districts that might otherwise be unavailable to them.
DISASTER APPEALS
Floods, bushfires, cyclones, drought, earthquakes… the Western Pacific corner of the globe is highly exposed to many natural disasters. In the short term, immediate aid can assist to provide food, accommodation and medical supplies to those that need it most during a crisis. When the need arises occurs, NACare may nominate to establish an appeal whereby funds can be directed to assist with a specific disaster.
AID ASSISTANCE
Not every disaster makes news headlines, however there are occasions when a requirement for assistance in the community is identified. NACare can help by providing a donation of goods or funds to benefit those in need.
